Family. This is how it feels when Good Thyme is catering our events. Professional, yes. But the overall sense of who is preparing your food and serving is a cohesive family. It is clear the owners and employees are bonded and work diligently to make our events come off seamlessly. The food can be as simple as a divine Pozole (their’s is simply the best!) or as fancy as a dish as you could imagine. We have been using their catering services for well over a decade and I cannot imagine using anyone else.

Debra did a phenomenal job catering our wedding party in Mendocino. The food was absolutely delicious and beautiful, and all of our guests have been telling us the same for weeks. It was so clearly put together with love, care and thoughtfulness, and it was just what we wanted. The service was wonderful too.
She did all of this with great flexibility and attentiveness to our requests around having ingredients that were local and sustainably sourced. Debra worked seamlessly with other vendors, some of whom weren’t quite as dialed-in as she was.
She did all that at a really great price point for the high-quality food and service.
I’m so grateful and I’d recommend her heartily to anyone without reservation.

Debra, her son, and her incredibly talented staff provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a party of 40 people for three days in Mendocino, CA. I can’t say enough about the food and the service! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all fantastic. The meals were fresh, hot, healthy, balanced, and flavorful. Debra was also extremely accommodating for those of us with special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free). She and her staff were organized, on time, and extraordinarily friendly! Excellent.

35 colleagues and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Deb’s cooking for 2 meals a day for 3 days. What a treat. Professionally run, great ingredients, plenty of food, and enticing menus for such a large group. Furthermore, Deb and her son were two wonderfully kind people. Bravo!

I just came back from a 5-day retreat near Mendocino and our group had the good fortune to have all of our meals catered by Debra Dawson. What a wonderful combination Debra brings to her cuisine of interesting flavors, healthy ingredients, seasonal selections and handsome presentation! I look forward to any return visit to northern California that involves Dawson’s delicious cooking.

Debra is extremely organized and thoughtful, and cooks delicious food from fresh local ingredients! When we were looking for a caterer for our 80-person wedding, Debra responded promptly to our many emails, met with us for two hours to answer our questions and come up with a menu that we liked, and fed us amazing homemade jam and sweet rolls. She was happy to come up with a menu that featured lots of local produce, and has a few favorite local farmers and producers of her own. She also seemed to really have a handle on the organizational and logistical details, and it was clear from the questions she asked that she cared about the whole event working well. I recommend her highly!
